Meet Caspian, the best fox I ever got to know ?❤️ . I met Caspian 8 years ago. I saw a fox from my house one November evening and ran to grab my camera and some dog treats. The fox was wary but I managed to get a few rubbish shots with my first camera a Canon 550D. . Over the next few months, I continued to bump into Caspian and attempted to photograph him. Caspian became familiar with a clicking noise I used to make and would often follow me home from school. . In the Winter nights, I’d make a tea before bed and sit on my door step with two digestives, one for me and one for him. I was quite young and I do not recommend this but I would hand feed him and let him nibble my fingers. . He was still wary of people and would sprint every time a stranger walked past. Five months into our friendship, Caspian got mange, a horrible infectious skin disease. I ordered medication for him and treated him every night for weeks. . One sunny afternoon in May, Caspian was sat on my drive, watching my front door. I came out with some sausages and medication and fed him in the front garden. He lay down next to me and lay in the sun. He had lost a lot of his hair and was incredibly thin. That was the last time I saw Caspian. It is incredible getting to know an individual wild animal and he definitely taught me a lot about learning to love nature at a teen. . It is a bird? Is if a plane? No it’s a squizzle! . I’m actually SO EXCITED to share this haha. One thing I love about Instagram is the feedback I get, especially when I post behind the scenes stuff on my story. When I started my jumping squirrel project, a few people suggested I put the camera below the squirrels. I tried with a remote sensor and found it very tedious waiting for a squirrel to jump, especially now since they are visiting less – the snow has melted and they can find wild food more easily. . I then attached my camera trap sensor and went back to bed ? A few hours later, I checked whether I had success and I captured 7 jumps! And the little squirrel looked into the distance at the sun as it began to rise through the forest. The golden sun tingled his tenacious ear tufts. The seasons were changing, spring was on its way. He wondered, who would he become, who would he be for his people, what will the changing times bring. But then he was remembered! The nut he lost last week was under the pine tree near the hide! Little bud in the fresh snow ❄️? . Oh what a morning we had on Thursday! The weather forecast looked good. Finally some fresh snow. @conny_lundstrom and I ventured to the hide before sunrise and on the way Dani slipped and hit her head. And we couldn’t put Humpty together again. I was fine so I thought. . We had great fun photographing this red squirrel burying its little face in the snow. About an hour later, the back of my head started to really hurt. We left the hide a few hours later. And then Conny slipped and potentially broke his lens ☹️ and I got back and wowza my head hasn’t been right since! . It appears I’ve had a slight concussion. I can do everything but walking hurts, talking loud hurts and too much screen time hurts. I’ve been inside a lot though, drinking water and sleeping. The baby squirrels have gained my full trust now. I will continue feeding them daily for 3-4 weeks. At 12 weeks old, they will become self dependent. Although, they will always be wild and free, I hope I will remain their friends. ? Can’t be a mum forever ? pic.twitter.com/cww2hAXE85

Hodujúca veverička

Po tom, ako fotografka niekoľko dní každodenne kŕmila malé veveričky v lese, si získala ich úplnú dôveru. Vďaka tomu si ju zvieratá pustili úplne k telu a umožnili vznik tohto roztomilého videa. Video hodujúcej 7-týždňovej veveričky sa celkom zaslúžene stalo virálnym hitom a máš istotu, že dnes už nič milšie nebudeš vidieť a ani počuť.
