75-ročný Richard Saunders našiel mimoriadne pôsobivý spôsob, ako si uctiť pamiatku zosnulého zvieracieho miláčika. Jeho mačka Tolly zomrela pred piatimi rokmi, ale Richard na ňu nechcel zabudnúť a rozhodol sa vyrábať prepracované obrázky s Tolly v hlavnej úlohe. V dielach za pomoci Photoshopu vytvára presvedčivú ilúziu, že sa dívame na obrovské kríky v tvare mačky.
Ako Richard uviedol pre portál Bored Panda, spočiatku to robil len pre vlastné potešenie a začal s tým ešte v čase, keď Tolly žila. Ale keď zomrela, vážne uvažoval, že s tým prestane.
Lenže na internete sa jeho obrázkom dostalo veľkej pozornosti a našli si tisíce fanúšikov (na Facebooku ich je viac ako 40-tisíc). Práve oni Richarda podporili v tom, aby v práci pokračoval. Mnohí z nich si dokonca najprv mysleli, že na fotkách sú skutočné kríky v tvare mačiek!
Richard sa okrem práce s fotografiami venuje aj maľbe a jeho surrealistické cítenie sa odrazilo aj v jeho sérii The Topiary Cat. Jeho diela majú svojsky snovú atmosféru a Richard s motívmi Tolly vytvoril aj puzzle, rôzne 3D obrázky a dokonca aj román. Výber z jeho bohatého portfólia iste osloví aj teba.
